📱Dev Notes
It was very fun to figure out how to give a business as classic as Asiawise its well-deserved modern website flavor without losing the aura of excellence that should be exuded by the brand. We went for taking advantage of typefaces that were thin and regal to preserve the ambience of Asiawise’s time-tested eminence.
One of the goals of this effort was to streamline the enrollment process. We took the spreadsheets they were using to manage invoices, proofs of payments, correspondences and other details pertinent to the tutorials/trainings/review offerings and integrated them into 1 master spreadsheet that could be managed via a secure interface. Because of the workarounds needed to make this work, we sacrificed responsiveness of the enrollment page, but this is something we will be fixing in the later months.
The integration of the site with the local payment partners is also something we were really happy working on. Earlier in the year we learned that established payment gateways do not really recognize our local payment partners here in the Philippines and so one of the tasks of the modern web developer is to meticulously choose which local payment gateway is trustworthy and reliable enough to be integrated into clients’ websites.
